Programme summary

This programme will introduce participants to how Insomnia Disorder is defined, assessed and managed. We will begin by introducing the concept of insomnia and critically discuss how it is diagnosed and assessed. Following this, the theoretical underpinnings of the development of insomnia will be critically analysed, which help us guide its management. Finally, non-pharmacological approaches to managing insomnia, specifically using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) will be explored.
