22/01/08 Review of Travel Costs
The travel allowance payable to psychiatric nurses under the terms of the agreement on the transfer
of psychiatric services to community based facilities falls to be reviewed from time to time by
reference to changes in the Consumer Price Index.
Following this review, the HSE-EA has issued approval for the implementation of the following revised rates
with effect from 1st January2008:
Less than 8 miles - Nil
8 - 18 miles - €6.14 per day
19 - 28 miles - €8.62 per day
19 - 38 miles - €11.21 per day
39 miles and over - Pro rata per mile at 1/38th of €11.21
The conditions under which such payments may be made remain unchanged.
