Assistant Director of Nursing
Night Duty
(Permanent / Full Time)
This position will be for the immediate and current requirement which is on Night Duty and the role is pivotal in the leadership, management and co-ordination of activity and resources in the nursing department and has responsibility for the development, implementation, management and delivery of services within the Saint John of God philosophy.
Applicants must have:
- Significant post qualification experience in mental health with excellent clinical skills.
- 3 years management experience preferably at CNM2 level or above.
- A proven record of excellent staff management and change management
- The potential to work autonomously at this level and to contribute significantly to the Nursing Management Team to identify, address and resolve operational issues
- Contribute to the strategic plan for the nursing department.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the challenges of managing and developing the department in line with the Hospital's strategic plan
Applicants should ideally have
- Nursing qualifications (Mental Health) at degree level and a post graduate qualification in a mental health specialty and / or a Health Care Management qualification.
- Experience of budgetary management
- Experience of working and contributing to high level committees / working groups at Hospital or wider level.
